Hy Power Salton Sea, Inc., plans to develop the 1,300 + acres of fee land to its fullest potential of strategic minerals and gases. The unique combination of Company Mineral recovery technologies was previously unknown. Today much has changed with the ability to apply the most advanced recovery techniques to gather the elements in the Geothermal fluids that are part of the earth’s hot interior and essential to Hy Power’s Mandate to provide domestic sustainable, critical strategic elements.
The Property location to the seismic fault allows use of the geothermal heat to facilitate recovery of commercial grade Lithium. These Lithium compounds are expected to be sold as well as other mineral and gas extracted, using the geothermal underground steam to power the extraction and refinement. The most ecofriendly method of obtaining strategic elements is through solution extraction from hot ore grade brines.
The selection (Dial A Metal™) only selects the elements needed and reinjects the unused brine back into the injection wells to be recycled late. The primary target is Lithium to refine it into the materials that are in very high demand as essential ingredients in rechargeable batteries and many other critical uses in fundamental products like concrete glass ceramics and lubricants.
The prime location is 1300+ acres held by the company, including all mineral and water rights, sits on the edge of one of the largest reservoirs of ore grade Lithium brines in the Americas. The property has surface water features with significant concentrations of Lithium. The Hy Power plan to recover this energy is critical to the primary goal of creating non-polluting recovery systems for Lithium and other strategic rare earth elements (REE).
The Geothermal energy is the future of green power around the clock, without noxious emissions, in addition to the abundant Solar potential.
